My Berry experiment

I got ALOT of berries at the markets this week-  so i wondered what they would be like when they are dried.  SO right now i have a bunch hanging up in my garage with the hope of a lovely bunch of dried berries in a few week.

Watch this space :)

Flowers in my home..

This weekend i did some work for a photo shoot, so while i was at the markets Friday morning i picked up some flowers for our house. it's been such a long time since i filled the house with flowers.

They make such a great different to the ambiance of our home :)

Our wedding -08.10.11

It started with a question over the washing up one evening...."We've been engaged for 3 years... lets get hitched!"

Somewhere after deciding we would get married we decided on a Moroccan theme ...and to this day we are not to sure why ...haha! we did however go on to spend a week in Morocco during our month in Europe earlier in 2011.

So the plans started.... the food, the invites, the decor. We wanted an "inside-outside" theme.. meaning lots of lounges, ottomans, pillows and candle light.....outside. We collected , de-labeled and washed over 600 glass jars for our candle light!

The Location :- Clareville -Northern Beaches of Sydney overlookingPittwater - My Dear family friend Debs house & yard.
The Food:- European Catering - the most amazing food ever! It's usually the first thing commented on by friends when we chat about  our big day. {www.europeancatering.com.au}
The Entertainment:- We were gifted a lovely belly dancer towards the end of the night enjoyed by all and we had an amazing Photo booth - Big Thank you to Bernie from Party Photo Booths.
The Music:- Our dear friends Rosie was our MC for the night and her Fiancee and Brother were our fab DJ's for the night! they did such a great job and i would recommend them highly for your wedding or party.  We walked down the Aisle to "better together:- Jack Johnson and "Make you feel my love" -Adele
The Cake:- A pile of pillows in Moroccan colours.
The Decor :- Well that's were Sapphire Designs and co. weaved  wonderful magic... Not everything went to plan thanks to the rainy weather - but we pushed though and had an amazing looking outdoor space for our ceremony and cocktail reception.  Petal boxes were given to the guest to throw in a special group photo - these looked so beautiful and were one of my favorite things we did.  We Hung Paper lanterns with lights over the yard, and lined our Aisle with Glass jars filled with Colourful flowers, the aisle was a carpet of petals -this was Becs one wish for the day.
Guest Gifts:- We wanted to make sure everyone was comfortable with weather changes so we had cashmere wraps for each guest & lolly buffet all in a gold gift bag to take home.
Finger Print Tree:- Our Beautiful friend Vienna such a talented young girl - drew our tree for us. Vienna also took alot of the pre wedding photos in this blog. Thank you V. we love you xx
Ceremony signs:- Our P.Bear Loving made our signs for us and they now adorn our backyard garden :) thank PB ...Love love xxxx

Lastly but by no means least our beautiful celebrant Kris Rose. Thank you Kris again for making our special day complete.

After all that's said and done- The 8.10.11 will be the most magic day of my life... I married my soul mate, my rock, my love .....
